  1. Apologies, your article is excellent and my comment is off topic but I am so cross.

    I read the headline and, perhaps due to a build up of discontent, I was infuriated. I’m not given to displays of temper, but I’m so angry my teeth are clenched. Mr Morrison is the poster boy for the hard right, it reads, but it’s not Mr Morrison’s job to be anyone’s poster boy. Mr Morrison is paid to be the elected member for his constituents. All of them. Every single one of us. Yes, for his own electorate but also for each and every person who resides in Australia. Right Wing Liberal voter or not.

    There have been a couple of well publicised incidents when Mr Abbott has been dismissive of the non Liberal voter. Mr Pyne & Mr Hockey have also been guilty of this. And Mr Morrison by obfuscation on a grand scale continues this trend. We expect politicians to be political, it’s about time they remembered they are also public servants not corporate or pressure group employees. Political doctrine is one thing, rigid exclusionary ideology is another.
