  1. One of the PM’s key problems is the Liberal Party. The range of views is now very wide and willingness to compromise seems to be in short supply. This problem has been obscured by the ALP’s far more obvious problems. Getting up a credible budget will be the PM’s next big test. Repositioning the Liberal Party will be his longer term challenge–provided he can stay the distance.
